4. Responsibility Summary

The HR Generalist (HR Business Partner) is responsible for delivering comprehensive Human Resources support throughout the employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, HR operations, compliance, and workforce administration.

This role partners closely with managers and employees to provide practical HR guidance, support business operations, and foster a positive, compliant, and engaging workplace. The HRBP works across both manufacturing and corporate functions while balancing employee needs with business objectives.

The position also supports HRIS administration, workforce reporting, policy implementation, and continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and the overall employee experience. The ideal candidate is a hands-on HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and takes ownership of delivering high-quality HR support.

5. Primary Responsibilities
     1) Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

         - Manage full-cycle recruiting for manufacturing, technical, and corporate positions.
         - Partner with hiring managers and staffing agencies to support workforce planning, recruiting,
           and agency-to-permanent conversions.
         - Coordinate interviews, candidate communications, and compliant job postings.


     2) Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle Management
- Coordinate onboarding, orientation, I-9, E-Verify, and employee documentation.
- Maintain HRIS records and administer employee lifecycle changes, including promotions,
   transfers, and offboarding.
- Conduct exit interviews and support employee retention initiatives.

     3) Employee Relations & HR Business Partnership
- Serve as a trusted HR partner for managers, employees, and temporary agency associates.
- Communicate effectively with a diverse workforce, including English- and Spanish-speaking
   employees, while supporting employee relations, workplace investigations,
   and performance management.
- Build strong partnerships with staffing agencies to support workforce stability and daily operations.

     4) HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and company employment policies and regulations.
- Support HR audits, policy administration, and employee handbook updates.
- Maintain confidentiality and accuracy of HR records.

     5) HR Systems & Process Improvement
- Administer HRIS and maintain accurate employee data.
- Prepare HR reports and workforce metrics.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve HR processes and operational efficiency.

     6) Other Responsibilities
- Support employee engagement and HR initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on HR projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
 

6. Requried Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3–5 years of progressive Human Resources experience as an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner.
  • Hands-on experience with full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and HR operations.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, distribution, or other fast-paced operational environments.
  • Knowledge of federal and New Jersey employment laws, including wage and hour, EEO, FMLA, ADA, I-9, and E-Verify.
  • Experience with HRIS platforms such as ADP Workforce Now, UKG, Workday, Rippling, or similar systems.
  • Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and sound judgment.

7. Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Experience managing temporary staffing agencies and supporting an agency workforce in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience supporting hourly employees and shift-based operations.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
  • Experience participating in HRIS implementation or HR process improvement initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with employees, managers, and cross-functional teams.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to improve HR operations, reporting, communication, or employee experience is a plus.

8. Compensation & Benefits
  • Pay Range: $70,000 to $85,000 per year
